Haradinaj presents a list of 100 promises

Leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and candidate for prime minister from the AAK-PSD coalition, Ramush Haradinaj, has published a list of 100 promises which he said will guide his work as future prime minister of Kosovo with the leading one stating: “Kosovo of 17 February, tax until recognition, no partition, no ‘Dodik Republic`”.

Haradinaj promises to secure Kosovo an EU candidate status by the end of 2020 and visa liberalization during the same year. He pledges economic growth of 6 percent at the beginning of his mandate and 8 percent by its end. “25,000-30,000 new jobs each year,” reads promise 5.

Haradinaj also pledges to set the minimum salary in Kosovo to €250 with it increasing by €100 by the end of his term.  He pledges to construct a new powerplant and make Trepca mine fully operational as well as to reduce the size of the government.

Haradinaj further promises to issue Kosovo passports to Albanians from the Presevo Valley and vows to adopt a national program for environment protection.

“Increase of defense budget up to 2 percent of the GDP, in line with NATO standards,” promise 41 reads followed by: “Deepening of a strategic partnership with the USA in the field of defense.”

Haradinaj promises to increase the number of police, judges, and prosecutors and to establish development, employment, and healthcare insurance funds.
