RTK-s website is one the latest launched TV projects. It was launched 29 July 2002. The launching was done with narrow staff, webmaster and an editor. In the beginning website had information’s about RTK, update news, high quality of video stream news and other links about RTK.
Website has two links of radios operating within RTK: Radio Kosova and Blue Sky radio where visitors can link. Meanwhile the website unit was completed with more staff: executive producer, webmaster, web journalist and assistant webmaster.
All this was done aiming update of daily news , video streaming of special events, launch of important meetings - including visits of high level personalities in Kosova, meetings of SC of UNO about Kosova and other actualities.
Poll surveys are compiled on the basis of actual issues dominating political, social economical and problems in the country and abroad. The same practice is used about the topics on the commentary page where the visitors can comment freely about issues concerning our society.
From November 17 RTK website changes it concept and design.
Website is enriched with to many new liks, in the function of best communication with visitors. Interactive links are with full surprises like “chat rooms”, advice about your beauty, medical advices, cooking , horoscope, caricature of the day and many others. Apart of this there will be a daily brief news, than link what’s on the RTK programe, programme schedule in english and the dozen of things that make this web page very attractive and the most visited.
Year 2003 rtklive had registered 2.904.913 visitors with 9.257.480 viewed pages. Taking in consideration that system of encountering was “ One IP for 24 hours ” the number of visitors and viewed pages obviously is much higher. The reason behind why this happens are limited IP numbers in Kosova and high frequency during a day from the same IP.
Entering year 2003 only one server rtklive.com launches it’s new website with a full capacity with three servers, two of them used exclusively for video on demand, and the third one for the other files. With this step we reached to increase in continuity number of visitors and quality of services. The figure of 10.000 visitor since the website was launched , this number has never decreased under 8.000, instead it increased up to 14.000. The medium number of visitors on the news webpage is 142, and the amplitude of this statistics it’s oscillating from 70 up to 370. Thanks to investments on hardware, our visitors are not facing the interruption of signal on the video stream news. Server dedicated for news has a connection from 100mb/s and reached to offer a service up to 400 concurrent viewers of signal from 256kb/s or about 1600 viewers from 64kb/s in the same time.
