This assessment was given by the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Skender Hyseni.\
According to Minister Hyseni, the majority of powerful states that have recognized Kosovo and that are involved in the case, will speak out in favor of its independence.
September 15, was the deadline for the application of all states that are interested to participate at the hearing session. By skipping the figures, Kosovo's head of diplomacy said that Kosovo will have more allies than Serbia on the case. Apart from this, Minister Hyseni also announced the trip of a Kosovo delegation headed by President, Fatmir Sejdiu to attend the UN General Assembly. Hyseni said that contacts have been established and there will be tens of meetings held with state representatives of countries that have not yet recognized Kosovo independence. Minister Hyseni refused to reveal the figures of the states that have agreed to a meeting with the Kosovo delegation with the justification that it could aid his Serb counterpart for the counter-campaign which is being developed by Serbia at the Security Council.
