Artist Alban Muja‘s project for the Pavilion of The Republic of Kosovo delves into the consequences of the armed conflict in the country, on the twentieth anniversary of its end.

“Family Album” assumes as starting point a selection of photos of child refugees, images that were published in newspapers and on news sites around the world and emblematic of the conflict.

Twenty years after it, Muja tracks down the subjects of the photographs, now adults, to investigate the potential of these images as carriers of personal memories.
