Kosovo exported goods worth 288.8m euros
The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) announced that the deficit on the goods accounts reached a value of 1.26 billion euros, which represents an annual growth of 3.3 percent.
“While in 2018 there was a decline in the export of goods and an increase in import growth, in 2019 there is an increase in the export of goods and a slower increase in imports. This has led to an improvement in the level of coverage of imports with exports from 10.8 percent in September 2018 to 11.3 percent in September 2019, ”the CBK said in its latest report.
According to the CBK, the export of goods until September 2019 amounted to euro 288.8 million, which is by 9.0 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.
"The increase in export of goods was more evident in basic metals, plastics, and rubber products as well as machinery and electrical equipment," CBK said.
On the other hand, exports of mineral products, exports of leather and leather goods, exports of vegetables, etc., declined.
The import value of goods until September 2019 was 2.5 billion euros, which is 3.6 percent higher compared to the same period in 2018. The highest increase was in imports of vehicles, minerals, textiles, as well as plastic and rubber products, etc.
