Osmani holds virtual meeting with Head of EU Office

Kosovo’s acting president, Vjosa Osmani, today had a virtual meeting with the Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, to discuss recent political developments and Kosovo-EU relations.

The President’s Office in a statement said that Osmani said that implementation of the agreements reached during EU-facilitated dialogue between Prishtina and Belgrade requires coordination and unification of Kosovo political parties.

“The final agreement should serve the interests of citizens of Kosovo and be in line with the Constitution of our country, territorial integrity, and the principle of unitarity of the state. No one has the mandate to renegotiate our Constitution which itself involves too many concessions,” Osmani is quoted as saying.

During the meeting, they discussed the recent agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the EU to ensure macro-financial stability and face the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
