Kosovo’s Football Federation has confirmed that the National Team will face Lithuania in a friendly match on 24 March in Fadil Vokrri stadium of Prishtina.

Kosovo will use the tie as a warm-up for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they have been drawn in a group with Spain, Greece, Sweden, and Georgia.

“The National Team of Kosovo will play a friendly with Lithuania ahead of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. The agreement between the two football federations has been reached and the game will be played on 24 March in Fadil Vokrri Stadium,” the Football Federation said in a statement.

Only four days later, on 28 March, Kosovo will host Sweden in the first qualifiers game of Group B, and three days later will play Spain as guests.

This is the second time Kosovo is attending world cup qualifications since it was admitted as a full-fledged member of FIFA and EUFA in 2016.
