Kosovo boxer, Xhevdet Peci, passes away

Kosovo`s well-known boxer Xhevdet Peci died at the age of 67 in the United States on May 10, 2022, after a serious illness.

Xhevdet Peci is a Kosovo Albanian boxer who was a member of KB Prishtina and was a former Yugoslav champion multiple times.

His death came as a shock to everyone, and he was given the nickname "Iron Fist."

Latif Demolli, the secretary of the Kosovo Boxing Federation, confirmed the news. He stated that the date of the deceased's funeral service is unknown at this time.

Peci died in the United States, where he had gone to live with his family a month and a half ago, according to Demolli.

Peci was one of Kosovo’s greatest boxers.

Under the direction of instructor Lah Nimani, he was crowned champion five times with the boxing club Prishtina.
