
The "Days of Mother Theresa" close with Kosovo Philharmonic concert
In marking the 25th anniversary of Mother Theresa`s death, on Monday night, the Choir and Orchestra of the Kosovo Philharmonic concluded the "Days of Mother Theresa" manifestation.
With a thematic program at the "Bogdani Polis" Center in Prishtina, the concert opened with 'Divine Waltz - Hymn to Mother Teresa' composed by Genc Tukiçi on a theme by Lorenc Antoni and verses by Mother Teresa and performed by soprano Adelina Pantoja.
This hymn was premiered by the Kosovo Philharmonic in Prishtina on September 4, 2015, at the "Mother Teresa" Cathedral, and the concert was organized during the vigil of the Consecration of Mother Teresa at the Basilica of St. Paul outside the walls in Rome, on September 3 of the year 2016.
In the first part of the concert, the works 'Mother Teresa' by Kreshnik Alickaj performed by soprano Arta Jashari and Mustafa Ramaj on lute and 'Rilindja', 'Rrugëtimi' by composer Valton Beqiri and conducted by Edon Ramadan were performed.
The evening ended with excerpts from Mozart's 'Requiem' with the soloists Kaltrina Miftari soprano, Diellza Sylejmani mezzo-soprano, Granit Musliu tenor, and Armando Likaj bass under the direction of Baki Jashari, Kosovo Philharmonic said in a communiqué.
