Agim Ademi detained for 48-hours

Kosovo’s Football Federation chair Agim Ademi was detained by the Basic Prosecutor`s Office of Prishtina under the charges of "Abuse of trust" and "Tax evasion" and by order of the State Prosecutor, he has been sentenced to 48 hours of detention.

"The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Prishtina, informs the public opinion that after undertaking the preliminary investigative actions, the State Prosecutor has issued a decision on the arrest of the President of the Football Federation of Kosovo, due to the suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Abuse of trust", by article 330 and "Tax avoidance", from article 307 of the KPRK", the announcement states.

The same, according to the Prosecutor's Office, by order of the State Prosecutor, has been sent to detention for 48 hours, while in coordination with the Police, investigative actions are being taken regarding this criminal case.

Otherwise, Ademi’s arrest comes three days before the Kosovo National Football Team starts the qualifiers for the European Championship 2024.

On Saturday Kosovo plays against Israel as a guest, while three days later at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium it waits for Andorra.
