Kosovo and EU sign IPA program financial agreement

Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi and the EU ambassador to Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, have signed the financial agreement between Kosovo and the European Union for the annual program IPA 2022.

While speaking about the importance of the agreement, Bislimi noted that they expect the same to be processed as soon as possible, RTKlive reports.

"Within a very short period, this is the third agreement that we are signing under IPA 3. Last week, we accepted the first payment from the EU for IPA 2023. Also, the projects of IPA 2021 are in the contractual phase from the EU. We expect their quick and successful implementation.

In addition to the funds provided by the EU, the projects will be co-financed by our budget and by other bilateral partners. We expect the agreement to be processed as soon as possible and to enter into force", he said.
