The renowned Albanian dancer, Liljana Cingu, passed away at the age of 70.

She was affectionately known as "Lili" and was known for her unique personality, not only on stage but also in her personal life.

Despite gracefully hiding her age behind elegant clothing, Liljana's passion for Albanian dances kept her going.

She was awarded the title "Grand Master" by the President of the Republic and made an invaluable contribution to the National Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances for 45 years.

Liljana will also be remembered for her performances with her historical partner, the late dancer and choreographer Rexhep Celiku.
