The book "Germany and Kosovo: The History of a Partnership" is a compilation of writings by various German and Kosovar authors selected by the editors and publishers, Enrico Seewald and Urs Unkauf.
The book focuses on the partnership between Germany and Kosovo, featuring texts from notable figures in politics, diplomacy, military, academia, and publishing.
The book was officially promoted in November of last year at the residence of the German ambassador in Kosovo, Jörn Rohde. Last night, at the National Library, Arben Hajrullahu and Urs Unkauf discussed the publication while selected passages by authors such as Karl-Albrecht Wokalek, Erhard Bühler, Blerim Shala, and Beqë Cufaj were read by Ramize Ferati.
During the discussion, it was noted that the book serves as a testament to the bilateral relations between Germany and Kosovo. Alongside various key documents reprinted in the book, the contributions provide a diverse and vivid picture of this complex issue in recent European history.
"Germany and Kosovo have longstanding and close ties. The Federal Republic of Germany was the tenth country to internationally recognize the Republic of Kosovo in 2008," emphasized German Ambassador Jorn Rode.
The panelists highlighted Germany's significant role in resolving the Kosovo conflict during the discussion dedicated to the book.
