An energy contract worth over 70 million has been signed

The Ministry of Economy has signed a contract with the winner of the first solar auction in Kosovo to construct a 100-megawatt power plant in Kramovike, Rahovec.

The winning company will invest over 70 million euros in Kosovo. Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, stated that this project is intended to benefit energy security, citizens, and the environment.

Rizvanolli also mentioned that the United States Agency for International Development has been a key supporter of the project, emphasizing the US Government and USAID's crucial role in Kosovo's energy sector.

He expressed optimism that this auction will be the first of many and that Kosovo is poised to become a favorable and secure environment in the energy sector. The Minister also highlighted the ambitious energy strategy of the Ministry and the Government.

Expressing gratitude to the Orllati company for partnering with them in the energy sector, Rizvanolli looked forward to working together in the project's implementation over the next two years.

On the other hand, Avni Orllati, the representative of the Orllati company, expressed pride in the historic contract signing, stating that the project would bring great benefits to Kosovo. He also highlighted that the project will lead to the creation of new job opportunities.
