Kurti praises relations with Turkiye:Rooted in respect and cooperation

During the first economic forum of businesses between Kosovo and Turkiye, Prime Minister Albin Kurti highlighted the strong relationship between the two countries and discussed Kosovo`s economic achievements.
He emphasized the deep respect between the two nations and the opportunities for cooperation.
Kurti mentioned Turkiye's early recognition of Kosovo's independence in 2008, underscoring the special bond between the two countries. He also noted the significant increase in economic investments and Kosovo's low public debt, positioning the country as a crossroads between Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Kurti also mentioned the presence of numerous Kosovar companies in Turkiye and the opportunities for Turkish investors in Kosovo. He referenced the Albanian writer Sami Frashëri, who worked in Turkiye, using him as an example for the formation of a football club.
Turkiye's Minister of Trade, Omer Bolat, expressed his commitment to continuing cooperation with Kosovo. He highlighted the potential for increased trade relations between the two countries, aiming for a trade value of 1 billion euros.
Bolat also stressed Turkiye's recognition of Kosovo's sovereignty and integrity, emphasizing that the stability of Kosovo is essential for the stability of the Western Balkans.
