This year is expected to set a record in terms of wheat yields. This assessment comes from the Ministry of Agriculture and is reinforced by the evaluation of university professor Imer Rusinovci, who believes that this year`s wheat production in both quantity and quality is better than last year.

The year 2024 is shaping up to be quite fruitful in terms of wheat harvest.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development, Imri Demelezi, stated in an interview with Radio Kosova that this year's yields will be much better compared to previous years.

He expressed that last year's yields were inadequate due to frequent rains throughout the year.

Similarly, the University of Prishtina's Agriculture professor, Imer Rusinovci, mentioned that this year's wheat production is significantly higher.

Agriculture Minister Faton Peci also expressed high expectations for this year's yields on Facebook, suggesting that it is marking post-war record yields in almost every agricultural crop, with special emphasis on cereals. In the previous year, there were 100,000 hectares of cereals, including 66,000 hectares of wheat, which was not enough to meet the citizens' wheat needs.
