The Government of Kosovo has decided to increase child allowances.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that allowances for children will now start at 20 euros. Additionally, mothers with three or more children will receive 30 euros for each child.

This decision is part of an economic recovery package approved three years ago to address various challenges.

The Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, stated that the annual cost of this package will amount to 120 million euros. The new scheme will come into effect in August, with previous lists processed under the old scheme in July.
