RLIOF tonight brings Italian duo to `Opera Night`

As part of the Rame Lahaj International Opera Festival (RLIOF), the evening "Opera Night" is organized tonight with tenor Riccardo Della Sciucca and soprano Sara Rossini as protagonists, who will perform on the stage of the Amphitheater of the University Library starting at 20:00.

The Italian duo, during the performance of G. Puccini's works, will be accompanied by pianist Ardita Bufaj.

According to the festival’s announcement, Riccardo Della Sciucca became famous after receiving the first prize at the "Adriana Maliponte" and "Angelo Loforese" International Opera Competition in Milan then pursued his talent at the 'Accademia di Perfezionamento per Cantanti Lirici' at the Teatro 'La Scala', where he debuted in the role of Nadir in 'Ali Baba and Forty Thieves'.

In 2020, he debuted at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in the role of Cassio in Verdi's opera Othello, conducted by maestro Zubin Mehta, which was broadcast live on RAI5.

The release further states that Riccardo has performed on numerous international stages, portraying Rodolfo in Puccini's 'La Bohème' at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center in Japan as well as the role of Arturo in the operatic play 'Lucia di Lammermoor' Donizetti at the Salzburg Festival in 2022.

Sara Rossini graduated from the 'Conservatorio G. Verdi' in Milan, and then continued at the Academy of 'Teatro alla Scala'. Her career includes prizes in prestigious competitions such as the international opera competition 'Umberto Giordano', the international competition 'Spiros Argiris', and the AsLiCo competition.

 She has debuted in major roles at opera houses across Europe and beyond, including Mimi in 'La Bohème', Lauretta in 'Gianni Schicchi' and Sophie in 'Werther'.

"In addition to her operatic achievements, Sara Rossini also stands out as a soloist in symphonic works and vocal concerts. As a soloist, she performed the work 'Petite Messe Solennelle' by G. Rossini at the 'Teatro alla Scala', etc.,“ the announcement states.
