Kosovar judoka Distria Krasniqi admitted that her focus on the semi-finals affected her performance in the finals of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Krasniqi secured the silver medal in the category up to 52 kilograms after being defeated in the final by Uzbekistan's judoka, Diyora Keldiyorova.

"I'm very happy. I said it's fun to be on the podium, it doesn't matter the color of the medal. I was very focused in the semi-final, let alone the final, and I might have been sleepy in the final. I'm happy that I won the second medal at the Olympic Games," said Krasniqi.

She also expressed hope that Nora Gjakova would join her in winning medals: "I hope that Nora will join me tomorrow," Krasniqi said.
