Kosovar judoka Akil Gjakova has continued to perform excellently at `Paris 2024`.

He defeated Italian Manuel Lombardo, advancing to the semi-finals of the Olympic Games. Gjakova, who had previously defeated the Italian in the final in Prishtina, once again showed his strength in the match against Lombardo.

He won after the Italian received three warnings in the Golden Score duel. Akil is now in the running for a medal and is on track to secure Kosovo's second medal at 'Paris 2024', following Distria Krasniqi's silver medal win yesterday.
